To ensure that the payroll calculation process runs as smoothly as possible, be sure to perform the steps listed in the left panel of the Payroll Processing pages (Payroll > Payroll Processing), including using the reports that are listed. After a Calculate Payroll run After a Calculate Payroll run, you can run an Employee Gross to Net report to review the calculations. If you are not satisfied with the results, you can make the necessary changes and re-calculate the payroll as many times as necessary until you are satisfied. If you assign, change, or delete an employee’s direct deposit account after a Calculate Payroll run and before the Finalize Payroll run, make sure that the effective date of the employee’s direct deposit change is after the Payment Date of the current payroll processing. If you delete a batch after you have run a trial payroll, you must run the trial payroll again. Balance trial payrolls Balance a trial payroll using Payroll Diagnostics and by reviewing reports for verification purposes after you run the Calculate Payroll (Trial Payroll) process. After comparing data, make the necessary changes and recalculate the trial payroll as many times as necessary.
