Adobe scanners

After the reinstallation, my scanner was gone and doesn't show up on the drop menu when I go to create a PDF from scanner. It says "no scanners found". How do I go about attaching my scanner to the app? It was there before I uninstalled Adobe. I have a Brother MFC-J4535DW all in one printer/scanner. Thank you. Like is it there in printers and scanners section of OS. Also, let me know if the scanners are present on other apps dropdown or its an issue just for Adobe Acrobat. Thanks for the reply. Yes, the printer/scanner is in my system, I can use it to print and I can also use it to scan through the Brother app on my computer. However, it doesn't show up on my Adobe app. So it seems to be an Adobe issue. Thank you.
